AP/CLEP Credits
Inter-institutional alignment of credit granted for Advanced Placement (AP), College-Level Examination Program (CLEP). Follow these links for more from the University on Advanced Placement and the College-Level Examination Program.
The Department of History will accept the following AP credit towards the History BA and the History Minor.
- AP European History
- Articulates as Hist 1110, 3 credits, with a score of 4 or 5.
- AP United States History
- Articulates as Hist 1700, 3 credits, with a score of 4 or 5.
- AP World History: Modern
- Articulates as Hist 1510, 3 credits, with a score of 4,or 5.
The Department of History will accept the following CLEP scores for the the History BA, the History Minor, the History Teaching BA, and the History Teaching Minor.
- CLEP History of the United States I
- Articulates as Hist 2700, 3 credits, with a score of 50 or higher
- CLEP History of the United States II
- Articulates as Hist 2710, 3 credits, with a score of 50 or higher
- CLEP Western Civilization I: Ancient Near East to 1648
- Articulates as Hist 1100, 3 credits, with a score of 50 or higher
- CLEP Western Civilization II: 1648 to the Present
- Articulates as Hist 1110, 3 credits, with a score of 50 or higher
