Telling the Story Through Community Collections
Shavauna Munster, History Department Academic Coordinator and Black Faculty and Staff Association Historian, participated in the Marriott Library event "Tell the Story Through Community Collections: Providing Access to Lost and Overlooked Histories," alongside leading experts and practitioners in building and providing access to community collections. The panel was an opportunity to discuss the power that comes from gathering and preserving stories. Participants included representatives from the Sema Hadithi African American Heritage & Culture Foundation, Utah Division of State History, Uof U Black Faculty & Staff Association, and Construyendo Latinidad in the Intermountain West.
