Undergraduate Program
About the History Undergraduate Degrees
The History major and minor are flexible and can be paired with almost any other degree on campus. Double majors can even get dual credit for some courses.
Although not required, candidates for the major or minor in History are encouraged
to define a topical, thematic, or chronological area of concentration. These are not
predetermined but are up to each individual student to create. Examples of such concentrations
include: the history of religion, environmental history, gender and sexuality, empires,
and medieval history.
Requirements for each of the degrees are described below. Find the one that is most
appealing, download the corresponding degree worksheet, and chart the way to completion.
Students are welcome to contact the advisor with questions. Check out the featured courses for this semester’s upper-division offerings.
